Llamada perdida / chasing the dime (byblos)

While in the middle of a molecular-engineering experiment that could revolutionize modern medicine, Henry Pierce’s workaholic habits finally drive his lover, Nicole, to break up with him. Lonely and depressed, he moves into a new apartment with a new telephone number that receives dozens of calls, but not for him. Investigative by nature, Henry tracks down the previous owner of the number-Lilly Quinlan, an escort whose photo appears on the L.A. Darlings website. His curiosity is heightened, however, when he discovers that Lilly has gone missing. With the same single-mindedness that made him a high-tech superstar, Pierce pursues his search for the missing girl.
